What brings Bonnie Brooks to The Starlight Diner? And why is she on the run?

As the front-woman in a band, Bonnie is used to being in the spotlight, but now she must hide in the shadows.

Bonnie only has one person who she can turn to: her friend Esther Knight, who waitresses at the Fifties-themed diner. There, retro songs play on the jukebox as fries and sundaes are served to satisfied customers. But where has Esther gone?

Alone in New York City, Bonnie breaks down in front of arrogant news reporter, and diner regular, Jimmy Boyle. Jimmy offers to help her. Can she trust him?

When the kindly owner of the Starlight Diner offers Bonnie work, and she meets charming security officer Nick Moloney, she dares to hope that her luck has changed. Is there a blossoming romance on the cards? And can Bonnie rebuild her life with the help of her Starlight Diner friends?

A Room With A View

Title: A Room With A View
Author: E.M. Forster
Type: Paperback
Read: 30th October - 16th November 2016
Rating: 2/4
Published: 27th September 2012 by Penguin Books

Lucy has her rigid, middle-class life mapped out for her until she visits Florence with her uptight cousin Charlotte, and finds her neatly ordered existence thrown off balance. Her eyes are opened by the unconventional characters she meets at the Pension Bertolini: flamboyant romantic novelist Eleanor Lavish, the Cockney Signora, curious Mr Emerson and, most of all, his passionate son George.Lucy finds herself torn between the intensity of life in Italy and the repressed morals of Edwardian England, personified in her terminally dull fiancé Cecil Vyse. Will she ever learn to follow her own heart?

I'm terrible with classics. I know my limits and these books test them.
I brought this because i liked the 'penguin english library' editions and they looked very sleek and stunning. I've quite a few. However i always struggle reading classics. They never seem to capture my attention or i gradually fall asleep reading them.

I've marked this as two stars because I've read it and I've not the foggiest idea of what I actually read. BUT... i will re-read this one day. Perhaps i need to read it in the summer time when the nights are lighter and not winter when its so cold.

Top Ten Tuesday: Top Ten All Time Favourite Movies

I need to be more active on this blog and a way of doing that is through Top Ten Tuesday. I discovered this on a blog i recently found {Broke and Bookish}. So I'm going to attempt it when I can. Starting Now.

November 15: Top Ten All Time Favourite Movies

1. The Wedding Planner
I just love Jennifer Lopez in this film. It's just a happy romcom.

2. Ladder 49
This film makes me cry everytime because its so sad. I also love one of the songs from the sound track. Its called 'Let It Shine'

3. Two Weeks Notice
Sandra Bullock & Hugh Grant are my two favourite actors ever. A movie with them both in was just my own little piece of heaven.

4. Notting Hill
A bookshop seller falls for a famous movie star. I've watched this film so many times. I just love it.

5. When Harry Met Sally
That ending. Can i have someone declair they love me on new years eve?

6. Sleepless in Seattle
It was either this or You've Got Mail. Both starring Tom Hanks & Meg Ryan. I'm a sucker for romance.

7. The Polar Express
This is the best christmas movie ever right?? Just believe.

8. Beauty & The Beast
Tale as old as time.... who doesn't love belle? I just kinda want the library the most.

9. Hocus Pocus
Bette Middler in the best role ever. I was lucky enough to see Bette perform a song from this film when she was over in 2015.

10. The Goonies
I can never decide if this is a halloween film or christmas. But its one i've watched forever since i was a kid and i can never get tired of it.
